How to Fix WhatsApp Photos Not Showing in Mobile Gallery 


The issue of WhatsApp photos not appearing in the Android phone gallery is mainly related to the WhatsApp media display option being disabled on the device.

By default, WhatsApp automatically downloads photos from WhatsApp chat and saves them in the photo gallery on your Android phone.

This will save a copy of all WhatsApp photos you receive on your device and give you access to these photos even if the chat containing the photos is deleted.

If the received WhatsApp photos are not displayed on your Android smartphone, you can solve the problem by simply enabling the option to display the downloaded WhatsApp media in the photo gallery.

If the submitted WhatsApp photos do not appear in the photo gallery, you need to change the "WhatsApp Sent" media folder on your device.

1. Open WhatsApp, tap the 3-dot menu icon and select the Settings option from the drop-down menu.

2. In WhatsApp Settings screen, tap on the Chats option.

3. On the Chat screen, next to Media Visibility, move the slider to the on position.
4. Restart your phone to implement this change.

Then you can see all WhatsApp photos received in the photo app on your Android phone.

2. Submitted WhatsApp photos do not appear in Android Photo Gallery.

Follow these steps to display submitted WhatsApp photos in your Android phone's photo gallery.

1. Open the File Explorer app on your Android phone.

Note : File Explorer Application should be available under Tools > My Files. If this App is not available, you can download ES File Explorer app from Google Play Store.

2. In the next screen, scroll down and Click on Device Storage.


3. In Device Storage screen, navigate to WhatsApps > Media > WhatsApp Image Folder.

4. In WhatsApp Images , Click on the Sent Folder.

5. In Sent Folder Click on More or 3-dots menu icon and select the Edit option in the drop-down.

6. On the next screen, scroll to the bottom, select the .nomedia file and tap the Delete option.

Now when you open the Photos app, you should be able to see the WhatsApp photos that were submitted.
