How to associate Aadhaar with voter ID

Visit the official NVSP website run by Government of India and , district and personal information such as name, date of birth and father's name.

After entering the details, please click the "Search" button. If the information you entered matches the information in the government database, the data will be displayed on the screen.

On the left side of the screen, you will see an option called “Feed Aadhaar No”.

Click on it and a pop up will appear where you have to enter your name as per your Aadhaar card, EPIC number, Aadhaar number and registered mobile number/registered email address.

After you have entered the information correctly, click Submit. A notification will appear on the screen informing you that the application linking

Aadhaar and EPIC has been successfully registered.

Seeding Through SMS :

Aadhaar cards can be linked to EPIC cards by sending SMS. The SMS details are as follows:

Send the following SMS format to 166 or 51969: ECILINK

Example: ECILINK XYZ1234567 543215678232, where "XYZ1234567" is the EPIC number and "543215678232" is the Aadhaar number.

Seeding Through Telephone:

Aadhaar can also be linked to an APIC card by calling a dedicated call center.

Please call 1950 between 10am and 5pm on weekdays and provide your EPIC and Aadhaar card information to connect the two.

Seeding by Booth Level Officer:

Aadhaar cards can also be seeded into EPIC cards by submitting an application to the respective Booth Level Officer (BLO).

BLO conducts a door-to-door search to record your information.

After the information has been collected, it will be submitted for processing.

Alternatively, e-Seva centers, special camps, and voter empowerment centers carry out this activity. Check with your local voter's office for details on when these special camps are held in your area.

How to Check Aadhaar EPIC Seed Status

Once you have submitted your details using any of the methods above, your application will be processed by the Authority. 

To check the status of your application, you will need to visit the official his NVSP website and enter the information provided in the “Seeding through NVSP Portal” section.

Once the process is complete, you will see a notification that your request has already been registered and is being processed.

Aadhaar to EPIC Seeding Process

After entering all the details, click the Submit button.

A message will appear informing you that your application to link your Aadhaar number to your voter ID has been successful.

Link Your Aadhaar Voter ID via SMS

You can even link your Aadhaar number with your EPIC number through SMS. All you need to do is type an SMS in the format shown below and then send it to 51969 or 166.

For example, if your EPIC number AB123456789 and your Aadhaar Number is 0987654321, you will have to type ECILINK AB123456789 0987654321.

Once done, a notification will be sent to you to your phone number.

Link Your Aadhaar Voter ID through your Mobile

To link Aadhaar with Voter ID through your mobile phone, you can call the helpline number - 1950. This helpline number can be accessed on weekdays between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

To proceed with the seeding, you will have to provide your Aadhaar card and Voter ID details.

Link Your Aadhaar Voter ID Through Booth-level Officers

You can even link Aadhaar with Voter ID by submitting an application to your respective BLO (Booth Level Officer). The information you have provided will be reflected in the database after it is verified by the Booth Level Officer.

How to Check the Status of Your Aadhaar Voter ID Linking

You can easily find out the status of your Aadhaar - Voter ID seeding on the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) website. 

You just need to enter your Aadhaar card number on the website to know the status. You can even check your application’s status on the NVSP website.
